Resumidamente, Matte Painting é uma das técnicas mais antigas da indústria de efeitos visuais, criando a ilusão de paisagem e cenários de filmes. Atualmente, não apenas a pintura, mas também fotos e modelos 3D estão expandindo a técnica.

A cena é uma combinação do mundo medieval e da fantasia, a iluminação e as cores são destinadas a adicionar mistério à paisagem. O desafio deste projeto foi entender o mundo tridimensional: perspectiva, luzes, sombras, reflexos, etc.

O After Effects foi usado para dar vida à composição e a música nos ajuda a levar a este ambiente.

Briefly, matte painting is one of the oldest techniques in the visual effects industry, creating the illusion of landscape and movie sets. Nowadays, not only painting, but also photos and 3d models are expanding the tecnique.

The scene is a combination between the medieval and the fantasy world, lighting and colours are meant to add mystery on the landscape. The challenge of this project was to understand the three-dimensional world: perspective, lights, shadows, reflections, etc.

After Effects was used to bring the composition to life and the music takes us to the right atmosphere.
